Friday is Valentine’s Day, the special day we show our affection to those we love. Friday is also a day we offer Eucharistic Adoration here at St. Pius. What better way to show our affection to Jesus, along with praise and thanksgiving, than to spend a little time with him. To think that our Savior is present right here in our midst is awesome. What do we do during Adoration? Our Faith Formation Director, Tony Lavorata, has prepared a booklet with tips. His advice: Be Patient - No one is an “expert” at Adoration. Be Peaceful - We need to be okay with silence in order to hear Him. Be Prayerful - Take advantage of this prayer opportunity to bring Him your thanks and your burdens. Be Present - Try your best to leave distractions behind. Be here physically, mentally, and spiritually. I’m new to Eucharistic Adoration and still haven’t managed a whole hour yet. I think it’s ok to start slow with even 15 minutes. Give Jesus a Valentine on Friday; join us for Adoration in the church anytime between 11am-1pm. See you there!

P.S. We also offer Adoration on Wednesdays from 3-5pm and the Blessed Sacrament Chapel is open anytime the Parish Office is open.
