Hello, my name is Carol Schulte and I have accepted the accountant position. I am excited to be part of the St. Pius staff.
A little bit about me: I was raised on a small family farm near Eitzen, Minnesota with my two brothers. Eitzen is about 20 miles north of Waukon and my family owned land in both Iowa and Minnesota. My husband, Tim, and I have lived in the Center Point area for over 44 years and been members of St. Pius for 33 years. We have four children and seven grandchildren. We keep busy with the grandchildren’s activities and spending time with family. My hobbies include being outdoors, cooking, baking, and crocheting.
I would like to share a saying I learned at church in my younger days: Be encouraged to take advice from the sunflower.
The sunflower follows the sun. Christians should also follow the Son. Jesus is our Sonflower. If we follow our sonflower, we will be better Christians. We do this by having Bible time, prayer, and fellowship. Hebrews 12:2 says “Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.” We should keep our eyes upon Jesus. The sunflower also looks for positive sunlight. We should look to Jesus to stay positive. The sunflower is totally dependent on the sun. We should also be dependent on the Son.
