You will notice some construction going on that affects our campus. First, our school is putting in speed bumps in our driveway. While I am not a big fan of speed bumps, I am an even bigger fan of safety for our children and others. While most people are considerate, there have been a couple of incidents when people are driving too fast and causing concern. We have over 400 kids on site every school day, and their safety is our top priority.
The second is that our school will be putting on a new membrane on our school roof this summer and fall. Our school building is about as old as me, and like me, it needs increasing maintenance. Please be cautious and considerate as this work unfolds.
Thanks to several generations of committed and generous parishioners, we have great facilities. In fact, the archdiocese is now moving some of their large events to St. Pius X. I guess if you build it, they will come. I heard that somewhere.
