February seems to be the month for retreats.  A week ago, we had the women’s Christian Experience Weekend.  This weekend is the Kairos retreat for high school juniors.  Next weekend is the mens' CEW.  All involve priests celebrating Reconciliation until late Saturday night, which is one reason I may look tired Sunday morning.
 
It does our spirit good to step out of our daily routine and focus on our relationship with the Lord with others.  Priests are required to do a five day retreat each year.  Without that dedicated time with the Lord, each day and each year, we kinda lose the fire in the belly, and lose the big picture of our lives.  
 
Think of what the Lord could do in our parish if we each went on a retreat each year.  Wow.
